Great Garden Veggies!

Carrie has been eating butter beans and other garden goods for a while, but over the last week or so, she has discovered cucumbers in vinegar and corn on the cob. She loves them both. She couldn't quite understand that you are supposed to hold the corn to eat it. But I guess her way worked pretty good for her.

Carrie is doing great on her potty, using it a few times a day. They don't start using the potty at school until she moves to the 2 year old class, so we'll keep working on it at home. She has started putting many words together into sentences and we finally got her to say water this weekend, instead of her trademark sound she makes when she wants a drink.
We had a horse show this past weekend, and Carrie got to visit with the barn folks and the horses a bunch. She thinks that all horses are named Duchess, even her stuffed horses at home! Duchess and Mom placed extremely well on both Saturday and Sunday, and they were the Grand Champions in their division on both days. After ten years of hard, hard work, everything has finally started to click. Earlier this year before things were going smoothly, we discussed selling Duchess or retiring her, and we swear she heard us and decided she could do this successfully! Her retirement may be near, but selling her is no longer an option. Well, until next time, take care!
