We are long overdue for an update to this blog...boy have we been busy! We'll start with Father's Day, where we started out the morning with no power due to a car accident nearby. It was pretty hot, but church was nice with the windows open and no organ. We only had the piano and fans to cool off with.

Last weekend, we got to go to Virginia Beach and stay with Aunt Carly and Gizmo, her dog. Carrie loved the ocean, even though a few waves got her square in the face. We weren't fast enough to get her up before they got her! Even after that, she loved it. We were worried before we left about the smoke from the wildfire nearby and Carrie's asthma, but she faired pretty well. Even with her normal breathing treatments every night, it only bothered her a little, but she still had a blast. We all did! We are looking forward to going back, hopefully soon.
There's not much news to report. Carrie is growing like a weed, is saying all kinds of things now, and is getting into everything. She is fond of Duchess, and loves to go to the barn to visit her, then practice saying her name 100 times after we leave! She's turned into a little helper at home, putting things in the trash, putting her dirty clothes in her basket, and picking up her toys.
We have horse shows for the next two weekends, then we'll be spending a long weekend visiting with Ike, Karly, and their three kids when they come to visit at the end of the month. So stay tuned for updates, and I promise, I'll do better from now on! Take care!
